Description

Classic buttery cookies infused with cinnamon and clove — the perfect Christmas aroma in every bite.


Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp ground cloves

1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

Powdered sugar for dusting


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.

3. Add egg and vanilla extract; mix well.

4. Whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.

5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture to form a soft dough.

6. Roll dough into small balls or bear foot shapes.

7. Place on baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes.

8. Cool on wire racks.

9. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Store cookies in airtight containers for up to one week.
