Description

Sweet, rich, and infused with rum — these no-bake Christmas rum balls are the perfect holiday treat.

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups vanilla wafer or graham cracker crumbs

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

1 cup finely chopped walnuts or pecans

1/4 cup dark rum

2 tbsp honey or corn syrup

1 tsp vanilla extract

Extra powdered sugar, cocoa, or shredded coconut for rolling

Instructions

1. Crush wafers or crackers into fine crumbs.

2. Mix crumbs, powdered sugar, cocoa, and nuts in a bowl.

3. Add rum, honey, and vanilla extract; stir until combined.

4. Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls.

5. Roll each ball in powdered sugar, cocoa, or coconut.

6. Refrigerate for 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

The flavor improves as they rest.

For a non-alcoholic version, use orange juice instead of rum.
