Description

Mummy Baked Brie is a fun, Instagram-worthy appetizer that’s perfect for Halloween or any gathering. With a gooey, melted brie center wrapped in crispy puff pastry, it’s both delicious and visually appealing.

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups Apples or Pears

1 cup Blueberries

1 cup Grapes

1 large Egg

1 jar Sour Cherry Jam

1 loaf Baguette

1 sheet Puff Pastry

1 wheel Brie Cheese

Instructions

1. 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. 2. Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface. Brush with egg wash.

3. 3. Place brie in the center of pastry. Top with sour cherry jam.

4. 4. Fold the pastry around the cheese, sealing tightly.

5. 5. Cut strips of pastry to create “bandages” for the mummy.

6. 6. Brush the pastry with egg wash and bake for 20-25 minutes.

7. 7. Let cool slightly and add two dollops of sour cherry jam for “eyes.”

8. 8. Serve with fruits, crackers, and chutneys.

Notes

For a different twist, try experimenting with various jams like apricot or raspberry.

Ensure you don’t overbake the brie, as it will lose its creamy consistency.

Customize your toppings with fresh fruits like figs or pomegranate for an extra burst of flavor.
