Description

Korean Ground Beef and Rice Bowls are a quick, flavorful, and satisfying meal. Sweet, savory, and slightly spicy, this dish features ground beef coated in a simple Korean-inspired sauce served over rice, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

Ingredients

Scale

1 pound lean ground beef (90% lean)

3 garlic cloves, minced

1/4 cup packed brown sugar

1/4 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce

2 teaspoons sesame oil

1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

2 cups hot cooked white or brown rice

Sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

1. Cook ground beef and garlic in a large skillet over medium heat until no pink remains. Drain excess grease.

2. In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, red pepper flakes, and black pepper.

3. Pour sauce over the cooked beef and simmer for 1-2 minutes.

4. Serve over hot rice and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Add vegetables like bell peppers or carrots for extra nutrition.

Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.

Increase red pepper flakes for more spice.

Serve with cauliflower rice for a low-carb alternative.
