Description
Soft, chewy Crumbl-style Christmas sugar cookies topped with creamy frosting and holiday sprinkles. Perfect for festive baking days and cookie swaps.
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp almond extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
**Frosting**
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2–3 tbsp milk or cream
Red or green food coloring
Holiday sprinkles
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Add egg, vanilla, and almond extract. Mix until combined.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture. Mix until dough forms.
6. Scoop large dough balls onto baking sheet and gently flatten.
7. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until just set. Let cool completely.
8. For frosting, beat butter until creamy. Add powdered sugar and vanilla.
9. Add milk gradually until desired consistency is reached. Tint with food coloring.
10. Frost cooled cookies and top with sprinkles immediately.
Notes
Use almond extract for authentic Crumbl flavor.
Don’t overbake — cookies should be soft and pale.
Chill dough if it becomes too sticky.
Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
