Soft, buttery Copycat Snowball Cookies that melt in your mouth and make the perfect Christmas treat.


Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup powdered sugar for rolling


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

3. Cream butter and powdered sugar until smooth.

4. Add vanilla and mix again.

5. Stir in flour, salt, and nuts to form a soft dough.

6. Chill dough for 20 minutes.

7. Roll dough into 1-inch balls.

8. Place balls on baking sheet.

9. Bake 12 minutes or until set but not browned.

10. Roll warm cookies in powdered sugar.

11. Cool completely and roll again for a snowy finish.

Notes

Use pecans or walnuts for classic flavor.

Chill dough to maintain shape.
